Donated items must be in good, working condition. ReStore will not accept items that are:

Can I drop off my items at a ReStore Location?

If you intend to drop off an item to a ReStore location, please call the store ahead of time. Drop offs can only be done during store receiving hours, and depend on capacity. Each store has unique receiving hours based on staffing.

Please don’t leave items outside our stores after hours!

How can I arrange a pick-up?

For your larger, multi-item donations, request a donation pick-up. One of our friendly team of drivers will come to your home or office to pick up your items and deliver them to a local ReStore, where we sell them at assessed value.

Habitat ReStore will pick-up approved that are door-front or on the driveway/in the garage. We cannot enter homes or condos (including lobbies and common areas) at this time. Please ensure donation items are cleaned, disinfected and ready for pick-up.

We receive a high number of requests for donation pick-ups and therefore not all will qualify for the service. We will notify you once we have reviewed your submission. Please ensure you have quality photos of your items to upload in the request.

For donations over $150, you will receive a charitable tax receipt for the assessed value of your item(s).

How do I book a deconstruction?

At ReStore, we accept donations of everything from windows and doors to bathtubs and entire kitchens! For whole home or very large renovation items. Our ReStore team will come to your home and carefully and efficiently dismantle major household items such as, kitchen cabinetry, counter tops and appliances, bathroom fixtures and more.

Complete this form to request a deconstruction.

Who do my donations and/or purchases support?

When you donate to or shop at one of our Habitat ReStores across the GTA, you’re helping to improve and strengthen families in your community — as well as the environment.

All ReStore proceeds directly support Habitat for Humanity GTA’s home building projects. Through our affordable homeownership program, Habitat GTA helps local working, lower-income families, who are living in unsafe, substandard housing, to build strength, stability and self-reliance.

Your ReStore donations and purchases also mean that your perfectly reusable household items and materials are recycled and given a good home, rather than going to waste.
