A great deal for you, your community and the environment!
Habitat for Humanity GTA operates non-profit home improvement retail stores across the GTA called Habitat ReStore, which sell donated home furnishings, appliances and other renovation materials at a fraction of the original price.
The first Habitat ReStore in Canada was opened in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1991 and the concept has since grown to include hundreds of locations across Canada and the U.S. We opened our first Habitat ReStore in the GTA in 1995 and have now expanded this social enterprise to 12 locations across the GTA.
It’s a great place for customers to scout out that unique vintage or retro piece for their next DIY design project and save big on furniture, appliances, renovation materials, flooring, lighting, cabinetry, kitchen and bath fixtures, and much more!
Donors can give us items they don’t need and receive a charitable tax receipt for their assessed value.
Why not take advantage of our Home Deconstruction service? We’ll send our home Deconstruction Team to dismantle and remove major household items you’d like to donate to ReStore from your home or office at no charge!

When you donate to or shop at one of our 12 Habitat ReStores across the GTA, you’re helping to improve and strengthen families in your community — as well as the environment.
All ReStore proceeds directly support Habitat for Humanity GTA’s home building projects. Through our affordable homeownership program, Habitat GTA helps local working, lower-income families, who are living in unsafe, substandard housing, to build strength, stability and self-reliance.
Your ReStore donations and purchases also mean that your perfectly re-useable household items and materials are recycled and given a good home, rather than going to waste.
